EVERY. SINGLE. SUMMER. I look for the perfect summer evening dress and I have literally never been successful until NOW! I had a River Island gift voucher which I desperately needed to spend and low and behold, there’s a dress. It’s cool, trendy (not a cool word G) and super me.
It’s navy. It has stripes. It has buttons. Is there anything more me at summer?!
I honestly cannot wait to wear it on holiday because it is just gorgeous and fits me so nicely (potentially too nicely after having a large meal… food baby alert). But overall, its super nice, super stretchy (you can sit down without hearing little tear noises) and so comfy.

I only spent £13 on >> this dress << because of the gift voucher but still, £28 for a nice casual dress isn’t toooo bad?! Boohoo and PLT had let me down though so RI was my last resort really for holiday/summer outfits
I actually only own 1 other midi dress but that’s like my posho Kate Middleton style dress which I’ve worn once so it was essential to get another one in. Midi dresses are also quite in atm and I get notifications from my shopping apps telling me to buy the must-have midi dress!
PLUS, this one is also ribbed which is so nice and also something I have very little of in my wardrobe. It makes a nice change from mini and maxi dresses on holiday and it is guaranteed to keep me a bit warmer if the night gets a liiiittle bit chilly (I’m sitting writing this in the South of France, under a blanket, just got out the bath, in a jumper and inside..its cold and raining), so really, I could wear this now but with a cardi over the top or a slouchy jumper!
